Best time to visit
The best time to visit Kosovo is from May to October. During these months, the climate is pleasant with mild and sunny temperatures, perfect for exploring both the vibrant cities and the beautiful mountain landscapes of the country. For ski enthusiasts and winter sports, the period from December to March offers excellent conditions in the Brezovica mountains.
Entry formalities
European nationals can enter Kosovo with just a valid ID card or passport for a duration of less than 90 days. No visa is required for citizens of EU member states, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. However, travelers must ensure their travel documents remain valid throughout their stay.
Health and safety
No specific vaccination is required to enter Kosovo. However, it is recommended to check that routine vaccinations (tetanus, diphtheria, polio) are up to date. Tap water is not recommended for consumption, it is better to use bottled water. Kosovo is generally considered a safe country, but it is advised to avoid isolated areas at night and to remain vigilant in large cities.
Plane tickets and transportation
From Paris, a round-trip ticket to Pristina International Airport generally costs between €150 and €350, depending on the seasons and airlines. Once there, Kosovo has a good road network, and travel by car, bus, or taxi is practical and affordable. For exploring mountainous regions, it may be useful to rent a vehicle.
Time difference
Kosovo is in the UTC+1 time zone, the same as France. Thus, there is no time difference between France and Kosovo, making travel and communication with your home country easier.
Language
The official languages of Kosovo are Albanian and Serbian. English is widely spoken, especially by the younger generation and in tourist areas. You can also find people speaking German or French, particularly in hotels and restaurants frequented by international travelers.

Kosovo's country code is +383. The country has very satisfactory network coverage, and most hotels, cafes, and restaurants offer free Wi-Fi access. For international calls, it is recommended to use prepaid cards available everywhere or applications such as WhatsApp or Viber.
Electricity
Kosovo uses type C and F electrical outlets, identical to those used in France, with a voltage of 230V. You will therefore not need an adapter to plug in your electrical devices during your stay.
