When to visit?
Slovenia can be visited year-round, but spring (May-June) and autumn (September-October) are particularly pleasant for exploring nature without the crowds. Summer is ideal for enjoying lakes and rivers, while winter attracts ski enthusiasts in the Julian Alps.
Entry formalities
European Union citizens can enter Slovenia with a valid ID card or passport. No visa is required for tourist stays of less than 90 days. For non-EU travelers, a valid passport is required.
Health
The European Health Insurance Card allows access to medical care for EU nationals. No specific vaccine is required, but it is advisable to have basic vaccines (DTP) up to date. Tap water is drinkable everywhere and of very good quality.
Plane tickets
A Paris-Ljubljana flight costs between €120 and €350, depending on the season and airline. Alternatives exist via Venice, Trieste, or Zagreb airports, with a car rental or bus to reach Slovenia.
Time difference
There is no time difference between France and Slovenia. Both countries share the GMT+1 time zone.
Spoken languages
Slovenian is the official language. English is widely spoken, especially in tourist areas and among young people. German and Italian are also heard in some regions.

Slovenia's country code: +386. The mobile network is excellent, and wifi is accessible in most accommodations, restaurants, and public places. Roaming is included for European travelers.
